Two routes. Different responsibilities.

You do not need to run a vending business to offer vending at your venue. However, ownership and hosting are different arrangements. Choose the route that matches the work you want to take on, then review the proposal in detail.

Host a fully managed service

You provide an agreed location and access arrangements. Our service can bring equipment, replenishment and machine care together under one agreement. Therefore, your venue gains a refreshment point with less routine work.

We assess suitability and explain utilities, responsibilities and any commercial terms before installation.

Own and operate equipment

You invest in equipment and take responsibility for the operating plan. That includes product sourcing, pricing, stock, costs and customer service. Meanwhile, we can discuss equipment supply and maintenance support.

Your plan should account for the time and money needed to keep the machine stocked and working.

Location before equipment

Understand the people, then plan the machine.

A vending machine business needs repeat demand, not just passing footfall. First, consider who uses the location and when they take breaks. Also, look at existing refreshment choices, access hours and how easily the machine can be serviced.

  • Estimate regular users and realistic purchase frequency.
  • Review nearby alternatives and the preferred product range.
  • Confirm the site owner’s permission and commercial terms.
  • Check delivery access, power, ventilation and connectivity.
  • Plan stock rotation, maintenance and customer support.
Put assumptions into numbers

Explore your vending machine business scenario.

This calculator is for an owner-operated machine. Adjust the figures to reflect your location and costs. It gives an illustration, not a sales forecast or a guarantee of earnings. All money inputs and results exclude VAT.

Illustrative monthly sales revenue€1,950.00

Gross profit after product cost€975.00

Surplus after entered operating costs€725.00

Simple investment payback8.3 months

Payback assumes the same positive monthly surplus continues. It is not a guaranteed recovery period.

Gross margin already allows for product cost. In other operating costs, include electricity, card fees, servicing, labour, travel, site payments, spoilage and any other costs that apply. Include finance and tax effects separately where relevant to your plan. This simple model does not calculate cash flow, depreciation or changes in demand.

Build the plan in stages

From first idea to an informed decision.

Assess the location

First, map users, opening hours and existing choices. Confirm who can approve the placement.

Choose the format

Next, match products, capacity and payment options to demand. Check the site and delivery requirements.

Agree the numbers

Review the full proposal, operating responsibilities and costs. Compare a cautious scenario with your expected case.

Launch and review

After installation, track sales, availability and feedback. Use the results to improve the range and service plan.

Explore your setting

Start with a location you understand.

Different settings bring different buying patterns. A hotel may need late arrivals served, while a factory has concentrated shift breaks. Explore our sector guides to see the planning questions, equipment and service options for each environment.

Useful answers

vending machine business: your questions.

Should I host a service or own a machine?

Hosting can suit a venue that wants refreshments with less daily work. Ownership can suit someone ready to manage stock, costs and operations. First, compare responsibilities and the location’s needs.

Is vending guaranteed to be profitable?

No. Sales depend on demand, competition, pricing and availability. Costs also vary. Use a realistic business plan and review the full cost of running the machine before committing.

Do you help choose the equipment?

Yes. We review the product range, expected use, utilities and available space. Then we can recommend suitable SandenVendo equipment and discuss service options.

How much space do I need?

The selected model determines the footprint, ventilation and service clearance. We also check doorways and the delivery route, so a floor area alone is not enough to confirm suitability.

Can I start with one location?

Yes. We can discuss a single-location proposal. Starting with a suitable site and reviewing actual demand can help you make a more informed decision about expansion.

Does the calculator show a host commission?

No. It illustrates an owner-operated machine using your sales and cost assumptions. Any host payment or commission belongs to a separate commercial agreement.

What should I send with an enquiry?

Include your location, expected users, opening hours and available space. Also, tell us whether you want a managed service or plan to own and operate the equipment.
