Let MIDA prepare it
The pre-cooked dish moves from insulated storage into the integrated microwave and follows its configured heating programme.
Collect your hot meal
Take your meal from the delivery hatch. An optional dispenser can provide cutlery and napkins.
Heating from around 90 seconds for suitable meals. Actual timing depends on the dish, starting temperature and validated programme.
A compact meal service.
Thoughtfully engineered.
MIDA stores pre-cooked chilled or frozen meals and heats them to order. Its enclosed transfer from storage to microwave reduces handling during preparation.
The touchscreen presents product information and can display scheduled content while customers wait. Each dish can have its own heating settings.

Temperature-controlled storage
Chilled operation at 0–4°C or frozen operation around −18°C, according to the selected configuration and food requirements.
Dish-specific heating
An integrated microwave with adjustable programmes supports the selected recipes, portions and compatible packaging.
B-Cloud reporting
View sales, stock and inventory information online. Monitor storage temperatures and manage screen content across your network.
Flexible payment setup
Discuss the payment systems required by your users and location before the machine is configured.
Practical replenishment
Barcode-assisted loading helps the operator identify products and manage stock. Optional cutlery and napkin dispensing completes the service.
Control-system continuity
The specified UPS supports machine control operations during an interruption. Backup scope and duration are confirmed for the installation.

We plan it.
We help keep it running.
Our fully managed approach brings equipment, menu planning, replenishment, maintenance and customer support into an agreed service plan.
First, we assess your likely demand and location. Then we agree meal choices, loading frequency, cleaning responsibilities and support arrangements. Once live, sales and stock information help guide the next review.
Commercial terms depend on the site and chosen setup. We build the proposal around expected usage rather than promise a fixed return.

A warm meal.
A human connection.
Food brings people together. In Australia, The Big Umbrella Foundation brought that idea to life through a charitable initiative involving Ed Sheeran’s lasagne recipe and Bicom MIDA hot meal technology.
As Bicom reports, the project supports people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability, with MIDA helping dispense hot ready meals. The 7NEWS report follows the story in Melbourne.
It is an inspiring example of how practical technology and community action can work together. Alongside workplaces and hospitals, hot meal vending can open conversations about new ways to make food more accessible.

Let’s make
the details clear.
From meal choice to machine capacity, here is what to consider when planning your hot food vending service.

For healthcare sites, staff and visitor refreshment is planned separately from clinical catering.
How does a hot food vending machine work?
A customer chooses a meal on the touchscreen and completes payment. MIDA transfers the pre-cooked meal from its temperature-controlled storage to an integrated microwave. A dish-specific heating programme prepares it for collection at the delivery hatch.
Can meals be available throughout the night?
Yes. A machine in an accessible 24/7 location can serve staff and visitors outside normal catering hours. Access, stock levels, cleaning and the support plan must be arranged for the hours your site operates.
Is a meal always ready in 90 seconds?
The existing MIDA offering includes heating times from around 90 seconds for suitable meals. Actual time depends on the recipe, portion, starting temperature and validated programme. We confirm the cycle for each selected meal before launch.
Can we offer both chilled and frozen meals?
MIDA can be configured for chilled storage at 0–4°C or frozen storage at around −18°C. The selected operating mode, packaging and heating programme must suit the food. We confirm your configuration rather than assume both modes operate together.
How many meals can a machine hold?
Capacity depends on the model, tray dimensions and loading arrangement. The published MIDA 300 T datasheet lists up to 88 meals at its stated maximum tray size. We confirm usable capacity and the number of menu choices in your proposal.
Can we choose the menu?
Yes. We build a selection around your workforce or visitor profile, demand and the meals available. The 12 dishes shown here are the current menu selection provided for this page. Availability and the final range are confirmed before stocking.
Are vegetarian and halal options available?
The menu includes vegetarian spaghetti with green lentil Bolognese and dishes identified as halal. Check each product’s current ingredients, allergen information and certification with our team. A shared machine does not by itself make every product suitable for every diet.
Is this suitable for hospital patients?
This service is primarily designed for staff and visitors. Any patient access must follow hospital policy and the individual’s prescribed dietary requirements. It is not a replacement for clinical catering or a therapeutic diet service.
Who handles replenishment, cleaning and maintenance?
A fully managed service can include replenishment, stock rotation, cleaning arrangements, maintenance and customer support. Responsibilities, visits, reporting and escalation are agreed for your location before installation.
What does the site need?
We assess power, connectivity, delivery access, floor loading, ventilation and safe customer circulation. The MIDA 300 T datasheet lists a 16 A supply and approximately 3 kW during heating; an electrical assessment confirms the exact requirements for your chosen unit.
Can we buy a machine or discuss a managed service?
Contact us to discuss the appropriate supply and service arrangement. We review expected use, opening hours and site requirements before preparing a proposal. Prices, meal charges and commercial terms depend on the agreed configuration.
Can one programme cover several locations?
We can discuss a coordinated rollout with site-by-site menus, service planning and reporting. B-Cloud provides sales, stock and inventory information to help manage the installed network.
