Is this the same as a traditional vending machine?
No. Customers select products directly from shelves. The system uses vision-based identification rather than a keypad-and-dispensing process. The right choice still depends on the site and product range.
Can customers take more than one item?
Yes. The shopping session can include several products. SandStar also describes tracking products put back before the door closes.
What happens if an item is identified incorrectly?
SandStar describes operator tools for reviewing recognition exceptions. Ask to see the exception and refund process during your demonstration, including who handles customer support.
Does it still need restocking and cleaning?
Yes. Unattended checkout does not mean an unattended business. Stocking, cleaning, date checks and maintenance still need an agreed owner and schedule.
How much does an AI fridge cost?
Request a proposal for your location. Confirm equipment, platform, connectivity, payment processing, installation and support costs together. We do not assume the manufacturer’s international pricing applies in Ireland.
