Why Does My Vending Purchase Say Nayax on My Bank Statement?
You remember buying a snack at work, but your banking app shows Nayax rather than the name on the vending machine. A payment-provider name can appear on a statement. Check the purchase details before deciding whether the entry relates to that snack, another unattended purchase or a transaction you do not recognise.

Understand the name without assuming the purchase
Nayax explains that it processes payments for vending and other unattended machines, so its name can appear against a purchase. The wording is useful context, but it does not establish that every entry belongs to a particular machine or that an unfamiliar charge is legitimate.
Think about other recent self-service purchases as well as vending. Match the amount and approximate date with your own records. If you have a receipt, keep it available while investigating rather than relying solely on the displayed merchant name.
Separate identification from payment status
Check whether the entry is pending or completed in your bank’s app. Identifying the provider does not tell you whether a temporary authorisation has settled, whether a product was delivered or whether a refund is being processed.
Our pending-charge guide covers that separate question. If you bought several items or made separate attempts, record them separately rather than assuming one notification describes every attempt.
Use an official route to query it
For a purchase you recognise but need help with, use the operator details on the machine or the payment provider’s official support page. Supply the site, machine reference, approximate time, amount and whether you received the product. Follow the support service’s instructions for any additional identifying detail.
Do not post an unredacted bank screenshot in a public review or send full card details to a number found in an unsolicited message. If the transaction remains unrecognised or you suspect misuse, contact your bank through its official app or the number on your card.
Keep a record of the outcome
Save the support reference and the explanation you receive. If a refund is agreed, ask how you can identify it and what follow-up route to use if it does not appear within the period the provider gives you. Avoid treating a promise of investigation as confirmation that money has already returned.
For future purchases, our digital-receipt guide explains what to check at the machine. Contact our team if you need help identifying the service contact for your vending location.
