New Furniture Near the Vending Machine? Keep Its Air Space Clear
The space around a vending machine can gradually fill with chairs, delivery boxes or a new storage unit. Before rearranging the room, check the machine’s ventilation and service requirements. Space that appears unused may be part of the installation, rather than spare storage for the workplace.

Use the instructions for your machine
Ask the operator to identify the relevant clearances and air paths for the installed model. Do not copy a distance from a different machine or assume that only the visible front grille matters. Keep the agreed installation information with the site’s service record.
For example, the manufacturer’s G-Snack Design Line manual describes air circulation and a rear gap for the models it covers. That is evidence that clearance is model-specific, not an installation specification for every SandenVendo machine or for the illustrative machine pictured here.
Check what changed around it
Look for temporary boxes, bins, stacked chairs and decorative panels that have appeared since the original survey. Include nearby fixtures that narrow access to the machine. Compare the current room with the agreed layout rather than relying on memory of where everything stood.
Record the observation and tell the facilities contact. Light, ordinary items can be returned to their agreed storage location through the site’s normal process. Do not move the vending cabinet, remove panels or reach behind electrical equipment to create a gap yourself.
Separate space checks from servicing
Keeping an external air path clear is different from cleaning internal components or diagnosing refrigeration. Dust, unusual operation or a temperature warning should be reported to the operator for assessment under the appropriate maintenance procedure.
If refrigerated food conditions are uncertain, ask the responsible food-business operator to assess the stock and service. A clear grille or a cold-feeling cabinet does not establish that a product has remained within its required storage conditions. Avoid changing temperature settings to compensate for an unexplained problem.
Protect the agreed layout
Add the vending area to the checks made when furniture, storage or cleaning arrangements change. Make the required space understandable to the people using the room, without obscuring controls or attaching unapproved signs to the machine.
Confirm that customers and service staff still have their required access. Use our site-survey checklist when a larger layout change is proposed. Ask our team to review the arrangements for your machine before approving new furniture or enclosing it within a fitted unit.
