Vending Promotion Ended? Check the Price Has Changed Back
A vending promotion needs a closing check as well as a launch check. Once the offer ends, confirm what customers see and what the machine charges. Leaving an old notice beside a restored price creates avoidable confusion, even if the promotion ended correctly in the management system.

Confirm the end time and affected machines
Open the promotion record and identify its end date, time and machine list. Confirm how the account handles time zones rather than assuming the dashboard and site use the same clock. Keep a record of the intended closing point.
For example, Nayax’s sets-discount instructions include start and end date-time fields. This describes that promotion workflow; it does not establish that every machine or payment setup supports the same feature.
Check the customer-facing price
After the intended end, inspect the relevant selections at the machine. Compare the displayed price with the standard price recorded for those products. Check any screen message, shelf label or separate printed sign that refers to the offer.
Do not change unrelated prices simply because one promotion has finished. If the result differs from the plan, ask the authorised operator to identify the active configuration and resolve the mismatch.
Verify an actual purchase through the agreed process
Arrange a controlled test with the operator where appropriate. Record the machine, selection, time, displayed amount and payment result. The aim is to confirm the customer journey, not merely that a setting was saved.
If there are several participating machines, record which have been checked. One successful test does not confirm the state of equipment at another location. Follow the business’s normal process for accounting for test purchases.
Remove expired notices and close the record
Take down temporary signs when they no longer apply and check any website or site notice the team controls. Keep the removal linked to the promotion record so the next shift can see that the closing task is complete.
If a customer reports a different amount, capture the selection and transaction time and pass the query to the operator. Avoid promising an outcome before the relevant transaction has been reviewed. Save any corrective action with the campaign dates so the next promotion starts from a clear record.
